LIT accepts electronic submissions. We appreciate your following all submission guidelines and respecting our reading periods.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Poetry submissions should be 5 poems or 10 pages max. All submissions should be uploaded in a single document, beginning with your cover letter (including bio). Each page of the submission should have your name on it.
  • Prose submissions should be no longer than 25 pages, double-spaced, beginning with your cover letter (including bio).
  • Please wait for a reply from LIT before submitting again.
  • Our reading periods are from September to mid-December, then January to May. Please do not submit more than twice in either period.

  • We do not consider submissions filed by professional coordinating services.
